This Policy Covers how we treat personal information that we collect or receive from you when you use our website or register as a PTA member. “Personal Information” is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, and/or phone numbers.
This Policy also covers the images that PTA Volunteers collect of staff, children, and parents at all PTA sponsored programs in and out of school. By agreeing to the Policy, you allow the PTA to use the images on the PTA website as well as the closed Facebook JL Boren PTA group. If you do not wish your or your children’s images to be used as described above, please email email@example.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
This Policy does not apply to the practices of J.L. Boren Elementary School, Mansfield Independent School District, 3rd-party companies and/or other entities that the JL Boren PTA does not own or control, to people that are not JL Boren PTA volunteers, and/or to operators of sites to which may link to or from the JL Boren PTA site.
Data and Information Collection and Use
The JL Boren PTA collects information from and about you when you register with the JL Boren PTA as a Member and you use the JL Boren PTA’s website. Users who visit the JL Boren PTA’s site and do not register do not need to provide any Personal Information. The JL Boren PTA does, however, collect limited, non-personally identifying information from non-registered users that browsers make available whenever a user visits a website. This information includes your internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, cookies, and use patterns.
When you register as a Member, we ask for information such as your name, email address, zip code, and a password. Your password will be maintained on our system in an encrypted form.
The JL Boren PTA uses the information we collect for the following purposes: to fulfill requests for membership, and fundraising products, improve our website, and to be able to contact you.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
The JL Boren PTA does not rent, sell, share, or otherwise disclose Personal Information about you with other people or non-affiliated organizations or schools.

Access to Personal Information is limited to JL Boren parents, faculty, and staff who need to know that information in order to facilitate communication.
The JL Boren PTA site does set and access “cookies” on your computer. A “cookie” is a small file containing information about your website use that is sent to your computer when you visit a website.
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Account Information

Changes to this Policy
The JL Boren PTA may update and change this Policy at any time. All updates and changes will be posted on this web page. We will notify you directly if we make significant changes to this Policy.
